What is School of Leaders
The purpose of School of Leaders is threefold: First it helps to accelerate what is fundamental for being Christian and living our fourth day to the fullest. Second it helps prepare and perfect us to share the Cursillo Method with others, by going beyond what we are able to accomplish in the three day weekend and third; it helps form leaders. The School gives participants information and formation by means of study to prepare us to be better leaders and team members in our call to: make a friend, be a friend and bring a friend to Christ.
To help us accomplish the purpose of the School of Leaders, the Secretariat is asking fellow Cursillistas to prayerfully consider our individual call to be leaders in our Movements. Our hope is that individuals who feel called to participate on teams or to lead future 3-Day Weekends, will actively participate in a curriculum designed to help us more fully understand the fundamental Charism of the Cursillo Movement so we can more effectively spread the Gospel Message.
Although Cursillo teaches us that we need a lifetime of study, piety and action the Secretariat for the Diocese of Covington Cursillo is asking us to commit to participating in a series of 8 School of Leader Sessions. Sessions are held every 2 months – with a session held on a weekday evening and then repeated on a Saturday morning to help accommodate the busy schedules of our participants.
All School of Leader Sessions will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Ft. Mitchell. Sessions will be held in the Parish Center, located in the lower level of the school. Further directions are provided on the sign-up page.
Special Note: Participants do not need to complete the 8 Sessions in order. Since we expect future Cursillistas to join the school after their Cursillo Weekend, we encourage anyone who feels called to join School of Leaders to participate as they are able and then complete any session they miss when we repeat the topics in the future.
See the “Schedule” Tab under School of Leaders for the Curriculum and session dates.
